On the 19th of August, the National Youth Leadership Summit 2022 was held at the Sierra Leone House of Parliament with the theme ‘’Youth in Peace Building and Conflict Resolution’’. Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr was invited as the keynote speaker and delivered an engaging and inspiring talk. She shared her experiences from her youth days, recognized the many challenges that the youth face today, and elaborated on the >2,000 Sanitation and TreePlanting youth jobs created via #TransformFreetown. She concluded that Peace is the foundation for development and encouraged all the Youth Ambassadors to keep promoting peace.
